Welcome to our Angel Wings family .
n January 2020, two female-led organizations (Minority Vets of America- Atlanta Chapter and Restoring One’s Hope of Atlanta, Inc.) partnered to create a monthly outreach called, “Hope United: Feed the Hungry.” The purpose of the collaboration was to consolidate outreach efforts for those facing intersectional issues regardless of race and gender. We serve people in targeted areas experiencing high rates of homelessness and living in newly formed tent communities. We provided hot meals, clothing, haircuts, and more until the nationwide shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
May 2020 was a strong relaunch of Hope United's outreach efforts. Our economic impact for 2020 in the Metro Atlanta area was approximately $30,000.00 through the distribution of 3,000+ meals, supplies, and services through monetary and in-kind donations. Each meal contained a sandwich, water, fruit, and snacks. Each supply/hygiene kit contained a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, and feminine products. Our vision is to create a food and resource distribution hub to help improve the lives of homeless men, women, and children.
As the work continues into 2021 and the needs have grown as we live through these unprecedented times. We are continuing to push through to serve hundreds of people that are in need each month.
Communities in Action's is dedicated to addressing hunger, health and quality of life by serving those in need. CIA provides a vital bridge between the sources of food, supplies and places it directly into the hands of families and individuals who need it. Whether it’s distributing food or serving the community through various outreach programs such as, health and wellness, mentoring, tutoring, sports, music, art, dance, and more. CIA's time to serve the people is now.

Held a week before Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, was started to not only gather nonprofits, churches, and social/political leaders together to help bless our communities, but to also draw strength, unity and information from each other as we begin to head towards a new year in thanksgiving.
While we are blessing the communities with donations from different sponsors and donors ,we also take time out to honor different nonprofits who have made a tremendous and positive impact. It is a day of activities, music, and fun, as we give thanks, and celebrate the Friends who Give
Just like you, we can NOT do the work that we do alone. We have so many programs and different ways for you, a business, team, or your loved ones to get involved, that you will no longer feel like strangers, but lost family coming together. Take your time viewing our website, and when you are done, we look forward to you becoming a part of our Angel Wings Family no matter where you are
